I would like to thank Barbara for the wonderful start she gave me into the world of Reiki.  As my Reiki Master Teacher for my first and second degree, I could not have asked for anyone better.  Her gentle form of teaching Reiki made me feel very special and her explanations when something was not clear were so very encouraging.

What  you "love to do" is to love and bless others, to share your story and help us write our own, to place laughter and strength where there was once fear or lack of confidence, you give names to the feelings and thoughts we didn't even know were there until you came along and helped us understand.  What you "do" changes and expands our lives...thank you for what you "do".
 
 I awoke this morning full of a gratitude that had no words at what has been given to me by you, by spirit and by the loving women that I was so fortunate to be surrounded by these past days.

Reiki Master, Highest Good Healing
 
I was in Barbara's training class for Reiki  in July 2009. I  want
to share with you an amazing experience that I had last night. My brother
has been sick for about 6 years. He's been diagnosed with borderline
schizophrenia. Last night my father and fiance had to pick my brother up
because he became sick. He was slumped over with his eyes shut and barely
talking (this is how he gets when he is not coping with anxiety). They
brought him back to my house where I asked him if I could give him Reiki.
He agreed so I proceeded. I had to kneel on the floor because I do not yet
have the proper place to give Reiki. By the time I got to his feet, my
knees were killing me! I was making sure to count to 60 three times but at
this point I really wanted to stand up. I decided to try and count a bit
faster. No matter how hard I tried, I could not count faster. I was told
to stay where I was! When my brother sat up, he opened his eyes and smiled
at me. He began to talk and tell me how he has never experienced something
so spiritual and therapeutic. He said that he felt great and asked to go
home. Please understand that when he gets that far into himself from the
extreme anxiety that he feels, it takes a few days for him to come around!
I want to thank you for the gift that you have given me through God. I
plan on using it to help as many people who want to be helped. It has
changed my life significantly and I hope to pass the gift of the healing
light on to as many people that will accept it. You are an amazing person
and I will be forever grateful for what I learned in those three days. I
have never felt better personally and I view life so differently now. I wanted to share my brother's story with you and wish you all the best!
